Lot 1125: Hans Zatzka (1859-1945 Austrian) Woman in yellow dress and hat, appears unsigned, oil on canvas, 32'' H x 20'' W. Visual: Generally good condition. Crazing scattered throughout. Minor frame abrasion. Stretcher bar creases along the top, right and through the center of the painting. Blacklight: A few spots of touch-up along the lower edge, the largest dime-sized. A 1.75'' x 1'' area of touch-up upper left. A 4'' x 2'' area of touch-up upper right. A 2'' x 1.5'' area of touch-up right center. Difficult to read under varnish. Bernard (lr); each inscribed in German on the reverse Each oil on panel Each 20 7/8 x 10 1/4 inches Each frame rubbing. Return from the Well: There is some surface losses in the dirt ground in the lower right quadrant. There is no visible restoration under UV light. Fluttering Butterflies: There is a 1/4 inch crack to the surface just above the woman's head. There is some scattered craquelure in the center right. There is no visible restoration under UV light.
