WILSON" in pencil l.r., identified and inscribed inthe artist's hand and with a label from Foster Brothers, Boston, on thebacking. Watercolor and graphite on paper mounted to board, sight 8 7/8 x 12in. (22.5 x 30.5 cm), framed. Condition: Subtle toning. Estimate $800-1,200 Inscription on the backing reads, "Dear B-R-, I made this sketchwhen the steamer was anchored in the harbour of 'Basterre''. Themountains in the background are there indicated on the above mapruning S.E. from Basterre and ending in the "Great Salt Pans." Thesloop is bound for Nevis lying just beyond the "Naggs Head."/Edward Wilson."
