Sir Kyffin Williams (1918-2006) Pencarnisiog Oil on canvas Signed with initials KW lower right 51 x 61 cm. (20 x 24 in) " I'm so rooted in Wales and my family has been here for so long that I paint both the people and the landscape instinctively … ".[1] Pencarnisiog is a village in the community of Llanfaelog, Ynys Môn, on the island Anglesey off the north-west coast of Wales. The village is under 10 miles from the town of Llangefni, where Williams's was born in 1918, and the surrounding countryside was to feature throughout Williams's oeuvre . It is believed Sir Kyffin Williams donated the picture to the event.
