John Alfred Wheeler (British, 1821-1903) "Hunting Scene", oil on panel, signed lower left "J. Wheeler", 5-3/4" x 12". Presented in a giltwood frame. John Alfred Wheeler (British, 1821-1903) "Hunting Scene": In overall very good condition. The painting is soiled and in need of cleaning, especially around the edges, close to the frame. Liner marks to the top and bottom edge. The area around the signature has been cleaned to highlight the signature, but there is no evidence of inapinting.

John Alfred Wheeler (1821-1903) oil on board Foxhounds signed and dated 1897 In very good clean condition, no faults noted, signed and dated lower right, in a modern gilt scroll frame. Illegible inscription on back of board which probably refers to framing, otherwise a small press clipping of a similar painting by John Wheeler.
