Oil on canvas 28-1/2 x 22 in (72.4 x 55.9 cm) Estimate $30,000-40,000 Provenance: Sold in these rooms, Estate Auction , May 21-23, 1982, Lot 1271 Note: The sitter wears the Badge of the Order of St. Anne, the Order of Malta and the Order of St. Vladimir. Under black light: with scattered restoration concentrated along top edge (visible on surface) and l.r. quadrant; with fine craquelure some concentrated along stretcher bar impressions.
