Mr. Blum’’s father, Robert E. Blum, acquired many items during his life and involvement with many New York Institutions. He was crucial to the development of Lincoln Center, having served as treasurer from 1956 to 1963; was a member of the American Museum of Natural History, joining the board in 1950 and elected an Honorary Trustee in 1970, serving the institution for nearly 50 years; and was a long time friend to the Brooklyn Museum of Art, becoming a member of the Board of Trustees in 1936, President of the Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciences from 1951-1960, Chairman of the Governing Committee of the Brooklyn Museum from 1960-1969, and a member of the Advisory Board and Honorary Trustee until his death in 1999. $1500-2500 Plate 12" x 7", Sheet 17" x 12 1/2" Toning, mat burn, sleeve and mat with burn marks.
