Artist Bio: Joe Theodore Waano Gano - A
Cherokee Indian, Gano settled in Los Angeles in the early 1930s. He
studied at the Academy of Fine Art, USC, and eventually painted for
the California Public Works of Art Project in 1934. He was a member
of the California Art Club and the San Fernando Art Association. He
died in Los Angeles in 1982.
