A pair of portraits of publisher and booksellerat Gyldendal, Jakob Deichmann (1788-1853) and Mrs Bolette Cathrine Kraft Deichmann (1790-1877). The former signed and dated H. Chr. Vantore pinx. 1905 efter (from) daguerreotype. The latter signed and dated H. Chr. Vantore efter (from) daguerreotype 1905. Both pastel on paper. Both oval. Visible size about 72 x 59 cm each. (2).
Provenance: The estate of Frederik Hegel, Managing Director, ABR auction 143, 1962 no. 21. Frederik V. Hegel was the successor of Jakob Deichmann.
