During the 19th century the cattle piece was a muchloved genre, in Belgium van Verboeckhoven's followers includedFrans van Leemputten and Remy Maes. In the Netherlands it wasAlbertus Verhoesen.

just above innermost goat at the middle of picture.Light age craquelure throughout. Colors are very appealing.Signature is nice and clear. Minor,
light frame abrasionsscattered along some of the edges where it meets frame.
