This painting, which was probably originally intended to decorate a fine tabatiere, is comparable to another work by this artist displayed in the Louvre (Inventory number: RF 3465). Further outstanding works from the artist family Blarenberghe can be seen in both the Louvre and in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
