We thank Mr. Marumo for confirming The attribution of this painting Membre actif de l'Ecole de Barbizon, élève d'Auguste Antoine Ernest Hébert puis de Charles-François JALABERT, Paul Désiré TROUILLEBERT débute comme peintre de genre et portraitiste mais acquiert sa renommée grâce à ses paysages. En 1865, lors de son premier salon, il présente le Portrait de Mlle A… chaleureusement reçu à l'académie. De même, en 1869, sa toile Au bois Rossignolet, représentant un décor lyrique de Fontainebleau, éblouit la critique. Active member of The Barbizon School, student of Auguste Antoine Ernest Hebert and Charles-François JALABERT, Paul Désiré TROUILLEBERT begins as a genre painter and portraitist, but heaquired a reputation as a lanscape painter. In 1865, at his first exhibition, he presented The Portrait of Miss... A warmly received at The academy. Similarly, in 1869, his painting “Au bois Rossignolet”, representing a lyrical scenery of Fontainebleau, dazzles The critics.
