Lot 1495 Georges Stein (French, 1870-1955) watercolour, bodycolour and pastel, 'London, Westminster Bridge', signed, 14.5 x 21.25in. Estimate £1,000-1,500 A few fox marks scattered across the top of the work butotherwise in good condition, possibly a little faded but stillretaining good strength of colours, painted onto a buff colouredpaper which may also have altered slightly, signed and inscribedacross the bottom, in a later foliate carved giltwood frame, nolabels of inscriptions verso. Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogueformats do not include condition reports. The absence of acondition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfectcondition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections orthe effects of aging.
