16"x 16". Presented in a giltwood frame. Provenance: Purchased inLondon in the 1950's by the parents of the present owner.
This painting was originally executed for a frame with a roundliner. The four corners were later professionally painted in orderto frame this piece in a later square frame without the roundliner. A faux signature was then added to the lower right corner(in a more prominent place). The original signature is concealed inthe contour of the foreground in the lower center of thecanvas.
