[SOPER, GEORGE.] Original pen, ink and gouache on paper, signed at lower left, illustration from the 1913 edition of Arabian Nights, preceding the story "King Bedar and the Princess Jehaunara," matted and framed to 300 X 382 mm. Soper was a popular British magazine and book illustrator at the beginning of the 20th century. His edition of Arabian nights , published by George Allen and Unwin, contained only a handful of color illustrations, of which this is one.
