??tat et délices de la Suisse. Ou description historique et géographique des treize cantons suisse et de leurs alliés. Neuchatel: Samuel Fauche, 1778. 2 vols, 4° (240 x 195mm). Half-titles. 2 engraved frontispieces and 79 engraved plates, including some folding maps and views. (Occasional very faint marginal damp-stain.) Contemporary mottled calf, green morocco lettering-pieces, edges red (a few repairs at the extremities and one label).
ONE OF THE FINEST AND BEST KNOWN BOOKS ON SWITZERLAND. An excellent copy of this new, preferred, edition of a work which enjoyed great popularity in the 18th century. Barbier II 298 (this edition 'entirely revised and more exact than its predecessors'); Longchamp 2560.
