Crazing scattered throughout. An area of craquelure upper left. Stretcher bar creases along the four edges. Blacklight: Touch-up scattered throughout, including in the man's face and hair. Three spots of touch-up upper center, left center and right center each with corresponding patch verso. Difficult to read under varnish. The second: Visual: Generally good condition. Blacklight: Small spots of touch-up upper center and left center. Possible touch-up scattered throughout the background. Difficult to read under varnish. Provenance: The John A. and Margaret Hill Collection of American Western Art. Note: Warren Rollins was the first artist to have a formal exhibition in Santa Fe, in 1906, and was a leader of the Santa Fe art colony during the first half of the 20th century. He travelled extensively throughout the American West, searching for new subject matter in every state from the Mexican to Canadian borders.
