CARL F E HODGSON (BA Hons) Fine Art, lives in Rhos-on-Sea and his work has appeared in many of our Welsh Art Sales, in particular depictions by him of characters and situations created by one of Wales' favourite authors and poets, Dylan Thomas. The artist depicts life very much as he sees it and focuses on the common man and his perceived inequalities and injustices evident in today's society. At the same time even his blackest depictions always seem to have an element of humour in them. The largest single commission undertaking by Mr Hodgson, 'Cumbrian Values' an oil on canvas 9 ft x 9 ft hangs in Westmoreland Services on the M6 in Cumbria. Accompanying Mr Hodgson's work in this sale are leaflets about him and his exhibitions and achievements to date.
