Surfacegrime. A yellowed varnish layer does not extend fully to tackingedge, leaving a border of roughly 1/2 inch exposed. Narrow strip ofgrime/discoloration around perimeter of canvas, beneath frame.Light frame rubbing. No evidence of inpaint under UV examination.French canvas stamp, Berville on verso.
