Read Condition Report Read Condition Report Register or Log-in to view condition report Saleroom Notice Provenance Milan Heidenreich, Gothenburg (sale: Sotheby's, London, 19 March 1997, lot 203) Purchased at the above sale by the present owner Exhibited Passau, Museum Moderner Kunst; Salzburg, Salzburger Landessammlungen Rupertinum; Graz, Kulturhaus der Stadt Graz: Tschechischer Kubismus, Emil Filla und Zeitgenossen, 1991, illustrated in the catalogue Literature The sheet is laid down onto paper. The paper tone is even, apart from two lighter spots near the upper-left and upper-right corners, and is a somewhat darker off-white than the catalogue illustration suggests. Apart from a couple of scattered minor tiny brown spots, notably near the centre of the right edge, this work is in good overall condition. Presented framed and glazed. Antonin Prochazka (Czechoslovakian, 1882-1945) Village Street in Sun oil on canvas signed "A Prochazka" (lower left) 22 3/4 x 26 1/4 inches. Estimate $ 2,000-4,000 Biographical Note: Prochazka was one of a group of artists who were deeply influenced by Cubism. He joined the Group of Plastic Artists in 1911, laying the foundation for an important center of Cubism in Central Europe.
