CATALOGUE NOTE
Armand Point depicts the Eyptian goddess Isis - patron of natureand magic and goddess of the underworld - on her throne, surroundedby falcons, cobras and sun discs. Isis was also known as thegoddess of simplicity, from whom all Beginnings arose, the lady ofbread, beer and green fields. Ancient Egyptians believed that theNile flooded every year because of Isis' tears for her deceasedhusband, Osiris.
