Armand Point (Algiers 1860-1932 Naples) A male nude, turned to the right, his arm shielding his eyes black chalk, traces of red chalk, stumping, on light brown paper 25 5/8 x 19 5/8 in. Isis was also known as thegoddess of simplicity, from whom all Beginnings arose, the lady ofbread, beer and green fields. Ancient Egyptians believed that theNile flooded every year because of Isis' tears for her deceasedhusband, Osiris.
