"MOUNT MORRISTON, MACQUARIE RIVER, VAN DIEMEN'S LAND"
with inscription verso "Painted by R. Neill Commissariat Department in 1825 in Hobart Town from a drawing made on the spot. Now, Assistant Commissary General Neill at Berbice in 1850. This is the original house since burnt down, and re-built on a larger scale", also inscribed with the title given above and "Huon Pine Tree".
