Description:
signed, titled, and dated 1985, in silver ink in the margin Polaroid triptych Condition Note: This photograph is in generally very good condition. Each sheet measures 21 by 28.5 inch (53.3 by 72.3 cm.). The emulsion of the lower right and left margin corners of the right sheet have lifted. The middle sheet has two tears (about 3/4-inch each) at the lower right corner in the margin, and its upper right corner is creased and the emulsion has lifted. The upper left corner of the left sheet is creased and has a small tear (about 1/8-inch) at the left edge. There are some insignificant scuffs, most notably in the margins, but also in the lower portion of the middle sheet. While these issues are visible only upon close examination, they are inconsequential to the overall attractive appearance of this object. We are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described in our catalogue. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective, qualified opinion. NOTWITHSTANDING THIS REPORT OR ANY DISCUSSION CONCERNING CONDITION OF A LOT, ALL LOTS ARE OFFERED AND SOLD "AS IS" IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS PRINTED IN THE CATALOGUE.
