R. Moritz

These charcoal drawings by the artist R. Moritz are very fine studies with skilfully worked out proportions. One shows a flute playing male nude. His left leg crossed over his right, the man is shown with his head tilted to the lower left. The other work shows a female nude sitting. With her right leg tucked up and her upper body upwards tilted to the left, the sitter gazes away from the spectator.

The charcoal drawings are apart from some small tears along the edges and some browning in good condition. The male nude drawing is dated and signed lower right \“2. XII 05, RMoritz\“. The overall dimensions are 60 x 44.7 cm. The female nude drawing is dated and signed lower right \“20. I 05, RMoritz\“. The overall dimensions are 46 x 59 cm.
