Glue relined. Frame abrasion around the edges, with corresponding touches of inpainting. Scattered touches of inpainting to strengthen lines throughout, all of these very discreetly and professionally done. There is an area of inpaint roughly 4 inches in diameter just above the red flower at center, possibly a repaired tear. Also some inpainting on the yellow flower above it.

six etchings, 1559-1601, watermarks Cross of Lorraine with Letters C or countermark Small Initial A, very good impressions of these very rare prints, all second state (of three), probably from the Second Edition (of four), published by Philips Galle, Antwerp, 1601, all with margins on three sides, narrow margins at left where previously bound, plates 31 and 37 (Holl. 144 & 150) and plates 42 and 45 (Holl. 155 & 158) still attached to each other, plate 39 (Holl. 152) trimmed to the platemark and with small paper losses into the subject due to binding, plate 45 (Holl. 158) with a paper loss at the left edge into the subject, the sheets stained and foxed, other minor defects
