Lot 54 Jean-Baptiste Monnoyer French, 1636-1699 Still Life of Flowers in a Vase on a Ledge, with a White Cockatoo Oil on canvas 57 x 45 1/8 inches (144.8 x 110.6 cm) C A Westchester Estate Estimate $50,000-100,000 Glue Relined. Frame rubbing with corresponding inpaint, especially along the left margin. Several repaired tears approximately 5 inches long parallel to the upper margin. There is Inpaint: in the background at the upper center, a few touches along the top register, in the dark flowers below the curtain in the upper right quadrant, in the red floral forms at the top, contours of the foot of the vase at left, mended tear in the yellow crest of the cockatoo, approximately 2 inches, area roughly 3 inches in the foliage and sky at the upper left quadrant, scattered inpaint elsewhere especially in the drapery in the lower left quadrant.
