Hugh McKenzie, who died aged 82 in 2005, trained at the SladeSchool of Fine Art under Henry Tonks. His life was dedicated topainting mainly pen and wash and watercolour scenes of the City andSouth East London where he lived all his life. Lots 400 through to lot 438B are being sold on behalf of The 999Club. The Club , www.999club.org, is a registered charity, run bylocal people, in South East London, caring for homeless, vulnerableand desperate people.
