We are grateful to Professor Giancarlo Sestieri for confirming the attribution on the basis of photographs. This painting can be compared with a Battle by the gate of a castle sold at Finarte, Milan, in 1964 (see G. Sestieri, I pittori di battaglie, Rome, 1999, p. 387, no. 8).
