Heidelberg castle was one of the most popular stops of the Grand Tour. Among the many castle photographers, Marville was one of the first professional photographers to realize the need for quality views of the sites the rich tourists visited. - Slight oxidation mirroring in lower area, some light foxing spots in sky area, a few small losses in emulsion in upper edge, traces of previous mounting on the verso, otherwise in good condition.
