Property from a Private Westport, CT Collection. Born in London and educated privately, Albert Woodley’’s career began in advertising at the American Express Company in London, and continued on in Paris with the United States Lines. His career then led him to New York, where he worked at an advertising agency handling transportation-oriented accounts for American Express, Japan Mail, and British Railways. In 1943 he decided to branch out on his own and established the Albert Woodley Company Inc. to handle a variety of advertising, promotional, and public relations materials.
