Label verso reads
The artist has here shown the corroboree grounds where the ‘Sunday Business’’ rites are held. These are the secret and sacred ceremonies which are closely guarded by the old men and in which not many young men now take part.
Around the painting run a series of ovals with black lines down the centre. These are the hills surrounding the site. The next panel running parallel closer to the centre of the painting on each side represents the hooked spears used in the ceremony. Down the centre of the painting is the corroboree ground with the triangles representing the places where each group sits.
