Eunice Makepeace Towle was married to a prominent physician who attended to numerous presidents and legislators. Oil on canvas, 29" x 25". Framed 36" x 30"." Condition Needs restoration.

1880 census as a portrait painter.

Written on reverse "Portrait of John Quincy Adams copied from the one by Gilbert Stuart by my grandmother Eunice M. Towle in Washington,
