It shall be in the sole discretion of Scottsdale Art Auction, LLC as to whether the opinion provided by the Purchaser is an opinion by a recognized authority on the artist. 3. Scottsdale Art Auction, LLC and/or Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bids. The highest bidder acknowledged by the Auctioneer shall be the Purchaser. In the event of any dispute between bidders, the Auctioneer will have absolute and final discretion to either determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the Property item in dispute. After the sale, Scottsdale Art Auction, LLC’’’’s record of final sale shall be conclusive. 4. DuBois, W.R. Leigh: The Definitive Illustrated Biography , Kansas City, Missouri, 1977, p. 165. NOTE: This bronze artist proof was made the year that Leigh died. There are twelve known subsequent castings which were completed posthumously under the supervision of his widow Ethel Traphagen Leigh. The original model of Buffalo was created as a prepatory work for Leigh's epic paintings Buffalo Hunt (1947) in the Rockwell Museum of Western Art and Buffalo Drive (1947) in the Whitney Gallery of Western Art at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center.
