Leader 1872' (lower right) oil on canvas 34 1/4 x 54in (87.6 x 137.1cm) PROVENANCE: Hahn & Son, London; Cooling Galleries, London, purchased from the above, 1966; Sir Edward Avert Bt. (inscribed on a label on the stretcher); with Galerias Iturbide, Mexico City; private collection, Mexico City; from whom purchased by the present owner. A study for the present lot titled A Welsh barley field near Capel Curig and dated 1872 was sold at Bonhams London 25 January 2012, lot 125.
