The work is in good condition the canvas is not lined, there is some very fine craquelure throughout but extremely minor. UNDER UV: There are a few small areas of inpainting in the backround, as well as an area on the lower back and tail of Frisette. There seems to be an opaque varnish that makes full extent of inpainting unknown, but good condition overall.We are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described in our catalogue. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. A slight buckle to the canvas visible in the u.r. and u.l.corners. Horizontal abrasion with some pigment loss along the topperimeter likely from rubbing with the frame. A light milky-greenvarnish is visible under UV examination with a few scattered pointsof very minor restoration.
