Leading the collection is the surrealist painting by René Magritte, Les verrés fumes included in the New York, November 7th Impressionist and Modern Art Evening sale. A highlight of the New York, November 14th Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening sale is a large scale and incredibly colorful Jean Dubuffet painting titled La chaise from his L'hourloupe series, and featured alongside are magnificent works in the day sales by Henry Moore, Fernand Léger, Claude Lalanne, Alexander Calder and Gerhard Richter, among others, not least of which Pablo Picasso whose unique ceramic vase featuring four full panel images of owls titled Grande vase carré hibou is stunning in its large scale presence.
