Stefan Knapp (British, 1921-1996), enamel on metal abstract composition, signed, 30.5cm x 30.5cm (12in x 12in) Provenance: From the estate of Peter Barker-Mill condition report Old holes to bottom right and left corner, now filled, surface has slight scratching to black gloss glaze, other areas of scratching appear the intent of the artist.

(1914-2001) in the early 1960s, by whom given to the present owner. Lot Notes Stefan Knapp was born in 1921, in Bilgoraj, a small country town situated in the south east of Poland. He studied at the Central School of Arts & Crafts, and later at the Slade School of Fine Art. Knapp is best known for his vibrant enamel murals which can be seen in many museums and public buildings throughout the world.
