Certificate of Authenticity on back of frame from The Collector's Guild, Ltd along with biographical information about the artist reading "Born in Yokosuka City, Japan, in 1924, Risaburo Kimura is a graduate of Yokohama University in Yokohama, and Hosei University in Tokyo. Ever since his first exhibition in 1962 at the 'Modern Japanese Prints Exhibition" in Paris, Risaburo Kimura's work has steadily gained the recognition of art connoisseurs the world over. Kimura's art is boldly individual, intensely intricate. Form and color combine for startling and primitive effects. Among Kimura's many exhibitions are: 'National Print Exhibition,' Brooklyn Museum, N.Y.; The 8th Contemporary Art Exhibition of Japan; One-man show at Long Island University Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn, N.Y.; 'SAGA: 50 years of American Printmaking,' N.Y.; 'Japan Art Festival' at the museum of Cherrusky, Paris; Modern Prints of Japan in Brussels; and in 1973 The Boston Printmakers Exhibition at the de Cordova Museum, Boston."
