A fine album containing several landscapes and unusual portraits capturing acts of grooming, dining and dancing.

including intimate views of gardens, sweeping landscapes, bustling
street scenes, portraits of geishas and ancient temples.
Hand-colored albumen prints, 8x10 1/4 inches (20.3x26 cm.) and the
reverse, mounted; the original tissue guards; each with a caption
and inventory number in the negative. Oblong folio, pictorial black
lacquer boards with ivory inlay and gilt highlights, all edges
gilt. Circa 1890
