Affectionately nicknamed Jane, Kelly went on to depict his wife in over fifty portraits and sketches throughout his career, titling them with roman numerals for the date that the work was first exhibited at the Royal Academy.

The composition remained basically the same, with a slight adjustment to the angle of the head and positioning of the hands. Estimate £400-600 in original condition, unframed and squared up.Could benefit from a light clean.
