Under u.v. light, and in raking light, there are thin, minor matte areas – surface disruptions – including a thin, linear disruption approx. 1/2 inch long at woman's face. There are also some minor spots of possible retouch at part of her right forearm/elbow.

Oil on wooden panel and overall in very good untouchedcondition, a few tiny white specks where paint has flaked away butotherwise no faults noted. Signed and dated lower left in itsoriginal elaborate gilt gesso scroll frame which has had someslight restoration to the extreme left corner, no labelsverso.
