albumen prints.Each circa 13,5 x 20,5 cm, 1 in oval format. 2 signed by thephotographer (J. Leeb) in red ink in lower right corner, eachmounted to original board (slightly soiled, time-stained andbuckled), 2 with photographer's blind stamp below the image on themount; 2 with paper label annotated in German in ink on mountverso.
The earliest group portrait shows the actors of the historical play"Gringoire". Historical costume balls, as well as historicaltheater plays were very popular in Munich in the 1860s - 1870s andJoseph Albert was one of the main photographers to record theseevents. - One with some retouching and slightly faded, a few lightscuff marks, otherwise in good condition with strong tones.

A very early photo of the Befreiungshalle (Liberation Hall) whichwas inaugurated in 1863 by King Ludwig I of Bavaria. - Minimaltraces of surface abrasion, otherwise a dark print in very goodcondition.
