Johan Barthold Jongkind (Lattrop, Overijssel 1819-1891 La Côte-Saint-André, near Grenoble) A labourer on a country road in a pastoral landscape signed 'Jongkind' (on the mount) and dated '14 mai 1888' charcoal, watercolour, unevenly trimmed on the left-hand side 6½ x 9 in.
