Exhibited - Liverpool, John Moores Exhibition, 1989.
George Jardine trained at the Royal College of Art, London, 1939-43 where he was taught by Stanley Spencer, Paul Nash and Edward Bawden. He was primarily a surrealist painter. A retrospective exhibition of his work was held at the Liverpool Academy of Arts in 2012.
His work is represented in the collections of the Arts Council of Great Britain, National Museums, Liverpool, Williamson Art Gallery, Birkenhead, Atkinson Art Gallery, Southport, and the University of Liverpool.
