A gentleman, in light grey striped dark grey pékin coat, mauve and green embroidered foliate cream-coloured waistcoat, knotted white cravat, powdered hair
Add. Notes: signed 'Isabey' (lower right) octagonal, 2 7/16 x 2 7/16 in. (61 x 61 mm.), gold mount with light blue enamel surround with outer seed pearl border within gold frame, the reverse with hairwork panel depicting an Altar of Love with two flaming hearts above a plinth containing the initials JL and RL surmounted by motto 'Je.meurs.oú.jem'attache' within ivy surround; rectangular fitted gilt-stamped brown morocco presentation case by L.
