Louis Bosworth Hurt (1856-1929) Stack Lü & Barrera, St. Kilda signed and dated 'Louis B. Hurt 1910' (lower right) and further signed and inscribed 'Stack Lü & Barrera, St. Kilda Louis B. Hurt Turnbrook Darley Dale Matlock.' (on the reverse) oil on canvas 40¼ x 60 in. (102.3 x 152.3 cm.) St Kilda is the remotest part of the British Isles, west of Benbecula in Scotland's Outer Hebrides.
