The present work is registered with the Swiss Institute for Art Research as an autograph work by Ferdinand Hodler (Archive No. 171020 0001). The study was created in connection with the multi-figure composition "Blick ins Unendliche", which Hodler executed in several versions between 1913 and 1917. Provenance: - Otto Beyer Collection, 1920. - Swiss private collection. - Thence by descent to the current owner. --------------- FERDINAND HODLER (Bern 1853–1918 Genf) Studie zu "Blick ins Unendliche". Um 1915. Öl auf Papier auf Karton. 48,3 x 32 cm. Diese Arbeit ist im Schweizerischen Institut für Kunstwissenschaft als eigenhändiges Werk von Ferdinand Hodler registriert (Archiv-Nr. 171020 0001).
