D. Hewitt, oil on canvas laid down on board naive marine scene with sailing boats and steamships on choppy seas part of a lighthouse, signed, dated and framed. (31.5in x 22.5in) - This is a canvas laid down on a much later board in a contemporary green grained frame with spattered gilding. It is signed and dated but the date is unclear, it could be 1830, but from the painting it looks to be much later. Naively executed evening scene with lights in lighthouses, passengers on ships. The cliffs are high, so it could be a channel. : £100-150
