Near Landersfoot. Oil on canvas, signed at the lower right, apprx.9" x 14", framed in a wide period gilt frame overall apprx. 18" x23".
Condition: Visible stretcher marks, surface soils and yellowedvarnish. Frame liner with a small loss, frame has beenrepainted.

Add. Notes: signed and dated 'A. Gilbert./1859' (lower left) oil on canvas 7 x 12 in. (17.8 x 30.5 cm.)Notes: La Danseuse au Soleil noir is related to the later print Le Cracheur de Flammes (D. 650), but is presented in a landscape rather than a portrait format, and also bears differences in the background colours. This is confirmed by the certificate written in pencil by the director of the Fondació Miró on the reverse of the sheet. As this is the Bon í Tirer impression for an edition which was not executed, it may be presumed to be unique.
