AN ANTIQUE GEORGE WASHINGTON PORTRAIT ENGRAVING
19th Century
After Gilbert Stewart's original depiction, this antique portrait engraving of George Washington shows a young founding president. Inscribed at the bottom of this picture indicates this image once hung in the "Clerks office of the District Court of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania," in 1852 and was published by George W. Childs. Attractively framed.
