Together with fellow Argentine Leopoldo Presas, Forte formed the artists' group "Orion," popular in 1940s South America. His awards include the First Prize for Painting in the 1951 Salon of Watercolor, Pastel, and Printmaking in Buenos Aires; the 1959 Prize of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and the Grand Prize of Honor in the 1962 National Salon in Buenos Aires.
