Lot 45 Maurits Cornelius Escher (1898-1972) PATH OF LIFE I (BOOL 424) Woodcut printed in red and black, 1958, on laid Japon , signed, dated, inscribed eigen druk and III in pencil, very pale matstain, old linen tape along top sheet edge recto, the red attenuated, a few printer's and other creases in the margins, a few pressure marks in the margins, a small area with a few unobtrusive pressure marks in the image at right, some (printer's?) ink verso, otherwise in good condition, with good or full margins. 16 1/8 x 16 1/8 inches; 410 x 410 mm.
