Initialed and dated in plate "l-28 MCE" lower right recto. Additional note: The M.C. Escher Foundation notes that this print was created in a small edition of unknown size. The print was never numbered, but was pencil signed. It was created by the artist in January of 1928. The print is exceptionally rare. It appears in M.C. Escher: His Life and Complete Graphic Work, by Bool, Kist, Weirda and Locher.
